Malas

Malas have been used for centuries to count one’s breath and/or prayers during meditation.

Traditionally they have 108 beads. In many ancient texts and philosophies this auspicious number 108 appears many times; it symbolizes the unity of the cosmos, promotes alignment with natural cycles, aids in focusing the mind, enhances vibrational frequencies, and fosters discipline. In Ayurveda we have 108 marma points (vital points of life force) in our body.  Mantras are traditionally repeated 108 times and the mala assists in this counting.
Our crystal malas are designed and handmade in Boulder, Colorado by Prajna Paramita Malas. Lovingly hand-knotted while chanting mantras to enhance the stone’s healing energies, our malas are made from fine quality gemstones, each with their own beneficial healing properties.
Our Rudraksha Malas are by Aum Rudraksha Designs.
Rudrakshas are the oldest known prayer beads on our planet.
Believed to be the tears of Lord Shiva himself, they are said to be the most powerful tool in the quest for self realization.
Lovingly made and blessed in Bali.
